About The Artist!

Gabriella Sorbara is a dedicated student currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Digital Media and Production at SUNY New Paltz. She graduated from Ellenville High School and continued her education at SUNY Ulster, where she earned an associate degree. During her time at SUNY Ulster, Gabriella began exploring her creativity through drawing, painting, and other forms of artwork. These experiences allowed her to develop her artistic skills, experiment with different creative styles, and discover new ways to express herself.

Although Gabriella enjoyed creating art and found drawing and painting to be meaningful and rewarding, she began to view them more as personal hobbies rather than long-term career choices. She appreciated the freedom and creativity that traditional art provided, but she became increasingly interested in exploring other forms of creative expression. This led her to discover a stronger passion for digital media, film, video production, and visual storytelling.

As Gabriella continued her education, she became more interested in using technology and media to bring creative ideas to life. She developed an appreciation for the different stages of production, including planning, filming, editing, sound design, and creating engaging visual content. Her background in drawing and painting continues to influence her work by helping her think creatively and pay attention to visual details, composition, color, and storytelling.

Gabriella is passionate about using creativity and technology to create meaningful and engaging content. She enjoys collaborating with others, learning new production techniques, and developing projects from an initial idea through the final product. As she continues her education at SUNY New Paltz, Gabriella looks forward to expanding her knowledge, gaining professional experience, and building a strong portfolio in digital media and production.

With a foundation in traditional art and a growing passion for film and digital media, Gabriella hopes to build a career that allows her to combine creativity, technology, and storytelling.
